Apron Swap

Apron Swap

Well, it is finished!  I completed Living From Glory to Glory's apron yesterday.  I just love it.  I almost wish I could keep it.  I hope she can feel all of the love I sewed into it and likes the apron pattern and fabric pattern as well.  I should be able to get it in the mail on Monday.  My "mail man" was supposed to do that for me, but he flew the coop for a little while and went to Texas.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

I also received the apron she made and I love it.  It is very sturdy.  I will definitely be using it a lot.  The aprons I have here are very thin, except the one I bought in Italy, but I don't like using it because I want to keep it nice.  It has my name embroidered on it.  I got to watch the lady sewing it on.  I guess I'll have to post a picture of it.

However, for now I'll post of the apron I received and of last night's dinner.  Beef Stew.  I told BJ I'm working on my cooking, starting with soup.  He said, "Praise the Lord!" and that he is very thankful for the blogging world that encourages me to do so.

Striving to Serve at home put out a ten week meal challenge I didn't sign up, because I'm not that consistent, but wanted to expand my cooking skills for my loving husband, so this is the fifth meal I've posted so I have five more.  He liked the stew, he just had one suggestion and it was the same as the suggestion for the chicken Alfredo soup: "More meat".  LOL!  I guess since he is eating all those veggies a little more meat won't hurt.

Beef Stew with cheesy garlic bread.  The flavor was great!

Take care and God Bless.

  1. Hi Jodi, I loved seeing you in your apron and your so welcomed. It really was a fun thing to do. Thanks so much for being my apron pal. I am so looking forward to my apron arriving. Love Roxy

  2. Jodi, I just loved your post. It was so cute. I laughed about B.J. encouraging you in the blogging world, because it encourages you to cook... yes, this is a very positive attribute of blogging. I find it has the same affect on me. We do really need each other to inspire new ideas, and the love of cooking, creating and making a happy home environment. I wanted to get on Meredith's meal challenge too, but was afraid I couldn't keep up either; but it has inspired me as well. Your stew looks really good by the way.

I love the apron Roxy sent you. The girls and I all have one of her aprons, so now we are apron sisters lol.

  3. Oh, by the way, I am sitting here listening to the election; so happy about the good things happening in Ohio. Your new Governor sounds great.
    Much Love,

  4. What a fun post Jodi! I love Roxy's apron! I know what you mean by sturdy :D Oh and the soup looks and sounds delicious! I laughed about what B.J. said about more meat! I always catch Benjamin skimming for meat in my soups.

Can't wait for the rest of your meal posts! Maybe you could post the recipe too! It looks so good!

  5. YAY!!! Just LOVE Roxy's apron Jodi!!!! It is SO adorable. That big pocket is simply gorgeous. Can't wait to come and feel it and see it. Makes me miss Roxy more and more

    LOVE YOU!!
